Dr. Victoria Wacha is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety disorders. With 27 years of experience in the mental health field, including 12 years as a doctoral-level psychologist, Dr. Wacha brings extensive clinical experience together with advanced training in evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety.
Dr. Wacha is professionally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and certified in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She works collaboratively with clients to help them face fears, tolerate uncertainty, change unhelpful patterns and build greater freedom in their lives.
Author of an OCD workbook
Dr. Wacha is the author of Climbing Above OCD: A 12-Week Exposure and Response Prevention Workbook. Drawing on her clinical experience treating OCD, she created the workbook to help readers understand how OCD keeps them stuck and practice exposure and response prevention (ERP) in a structured way.
The workbook can be used alongside treatment with an ERP therapist or as a self-help resource after a client completes ERP therapy. It reflects Dr. Wacha’s expertise and practical approach to helping people apply what they learn to everyday life.
What working with Dr. Wacha looks like
Therapy with Dr. Wacha is active, focused, and tailored to your goals. She is direct about the patterns keeping you stuck and compassionate about how difficult it can be to change them. Together, you’ll identify the fears and compulsions driving your OCD or anxiety and build a practical plan to face them.
Dr. Wacha will challenge you to do the work, both in sessions and between them. Using exposure and response prevention (ERP) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), she helps you approach what you fear while resisting the habits that keep the cycle going. You can expect honesty, support, and practical guidance as you put new skills to work to live a more fulfilling life.
